16-18/09/2025. International Workshop marks the official launch of the Como Lake Institute of Photonics (CLIP) – Como
The Como Lake Institute of Photonics (CLIP) has been officially launched with a three-day international workshop, taking place from September 16 to 18, 2025.
The program opened on Tuesday, September 16, at Villa Gallia in Como, with the official presentation of CLIP in the presence of representatives from institutions, the National Committee for the Celebration of the Bicentenary of the Death of Alessandro Volta, and the University of Insubria. The day also featured a Keynote Lecture by Prof. Jerome V. Moloney of the University of Arizona, Tucson, USA, a world-leading expert in photonics.
On Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18, the workshop continued at the historic Cloister of Sant’Abbondio with an extensive program of scientific talks delivered by more than 30 distinguished speakers from Italy and abroad.
Promoted by the National Committee for the Celebration of the Bicentenary of the Death of Alessandro Volta, in collaboration with the Department of Science and High Technology of the University of Insubria, the workshop brought together leading experts in photonics to share recent advances in the field and foster new scientific collaborations.
